TUESDAY AFTERNOON BOOK CLUB
TUESDAY AFTERNOON BOOK CLUB
Although December is a busy month, the Tuesday Afternoon Book Club made time to read a book with a Christmas theme. In “Christmas Train” Tom Langdon must get from Washington, D. C. to Los Angeles in time for Christmas. Forced to take the train across the country because of a slight “misunderstanding” at airport security, he begins a journey of self- discovery and rude awakenings. As a journalist, Tom intends to write about his railway trip. Along the way he meets a host of unusual travelers. He also runs into his old, long-lost love. All these things, along with unpredictable weather, make for an interesting journey.
Author David Baldacci dedicates the book to everyone who loves trains and holidays. This is a departure from Baldacci’s usual thrillers – and he has written quite a few – but it shows how we get several chances to fulfil our hopes and dreams especially during the season of miracles.
The Library staff has pulled out many holiday books for your enjoyment. Stop by the LeRoy Public Library and pick up one or two to keep you in the holiday spirit. Reading a good book is a great way to spend a chilly winter day.
