Doris is a ninety something woman who has a red address book given to her by her father when she was very young. She is in the process of using this book to “map” her life for her grandniece Jenny.
Jenny learns about Doris’s life. Age 10, her Mother gets her a job in a wealthy woman’s home and from then on Doris’s life is lonely, unusual, difficult, with some love mixed in.
We as the reader and Jenny as family learn that Dori now elderly, frail, near the end of life had a full and exciting life and deserves privacy, respect and dignity.
Sofia Lundberg’s, debut novel “The Red Address Book” is a love story about the human heart.
