Laura MacKenzie the “High Priestess of Celtic Music” 4.25.2019 @ L-O Schools
The LeRoy Public Library presented to L-O K-12 students, Laura MacKenzie the “High Priestess of Celtic Music” labeled by MPR performed to over 300, with 2 programs in the small gym.
She and her husband, Gary featured Celtic music and instruments. Her traditional music will transport you to distant lands.
“Celtic” can describe music from a number of areas, including Ireland and Scotland, regions of France, Northern Spain, Wales and Nova Scotia. She performs traditional music on a fascinating array of wind-powered instruments, including a variety of wooden flutes and tin whistles, various types of bagpipes (bellows and blown), concertina, gemshorn and voice.
