Musical artist Laura MacKenzie entertained us last night with beautiful and funny Irish/Celtic music. Who knew there were so many styles of bagpipes all across Europe? I didn’t until yesterday.

Laura also taught us how to tell a jig from a hornpipe and a reel. If you can say, “jiggity,” to the beat it’s a jig, “pizza,” for a hornpipe, and “watermelon,” for a reel. How fun!
