Warning! Don’t read before going to bed!
Doors slamming, lights flickering, footsteps, cigarette smoke, and hearing “RUN”! yelled makes “The Sun Down Motel” by Simone St. James a thriller.
Carly Kirk goes back to Fell, New York to investigate the disappearance of her Aunt Vi thirty-three years earlier. She ends up working at the same motel, Sun Down Motel, where her aunt work before disappearing. Nothing has changed, landlines, fluorescent lights, keys to rooms, dark dreary rooms and some of the local residents still live in Fell. Working nights, lack of sleep, eating crackers and cheese makes Carly wonder what is real or not real.
This novel will make you take notice of all the noises in your home, was the ice maker always that loud, is it really windy outside?
“The Sun down Motel” is a thriller not a gory CSI novel, full of surprises and keeps the reader guessing. Stop in the LeRoy Public Library and check out a thriller and remember the warning.
