LeRoy Evening Book Club
Our choice for January was “The Thursday Mystery club” by Richard Osman. In a quiet retirement village Joyce, Ron, Elizabeth and Ibrahim met weekly in the Jigsaw Room to discuss unsolved crimes. When a local contractor is found dead, they have a real case to solve. The septuagenarians (big word for elderly} use their knowledge, bravery, and personal contacts to solve the murder. Never say “no” to this group, they don’t hear it and it is not in their vocabulary. Reminded us of Perry Mason and the PBS show “Waiting For God” The character’s may be old and their bodies not as strong but their minds are strong. We would like to live in this village, lots of activities, member look out and help each other. Never a dull moment. City Read is February 28,2022 at the LeRoy Library, 3-5 PM.Novel to read is Mark Sullivan’s ” The Last Green Valley.” The time is different this year, mark your calendar and come join the discussion.
