Thoughts about “The Confessions of Frannie Langton “by Sara Collins.

Frannie is a slave from the West Indies and has been charged with murder and is writing her confession. Time period is 1825 when many scientific questions about “different people” were asked and answered by unqualified people. Experiments conducted on brain size, color of organs and blood and genetics.

What is a slave? Someone who owns another or a wife who has a husband who controls every thought, emotion and action.

We all agreed this was a hard novel to read from the content and how written. Could have been a 3-book series.

On a lighter note, not too late to do research on gardening. LeRoy Public Library has many books to choose from.
