This month’s selection caused a lot of discussion. “Educated-A Memoir,” by Tara Westover is Tara’s story about being born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho.  Everyone slept with their “head for the hills bag,” stockpiled home-grown peaches, fuel, and guns.  Tara did not step into a classroom until she was seventeen and that was at college.

At college Tara discovered the news and world beyond the mountain and decided to change herself, but family loyalty is difficult to give up. Mental health, family and decision are the main topics Tara has to conquer.

“All My Rage,” by Sabaa Tahir, is the All Town Read and will be discussed Feb. 11^th 9:30 AM at the LeRoy Library.  Brenda has many copies available.  Come join us for a great discussion, coffee and treats. Several have read it and say the book starts slow but ends like a roller coaster and tissues are needed.
