TUESDAY AFTERNOON BOOK CLUB
Are you looking for a fast paced mystery thriller? Stop by the LeRoy Public Library and pick up a book by Harlan Coben. The Tuesday Afternoon Book club selected “Don’t Let Go” by Coben as their May read.
New Jersey detective Napoleon “Nap” Dumas hasn’t been the same since his senior year of high school, when his twin brother, Leo, and Leo’s girlfriend, Diana were found dead on the railroad tracks
in their small town of Westbridge, New Jersey. At the same time Nap’s girlfriend, the love of his life, Maura, disappears without explanation. For fifteen years, Nap has been searching, both for Maura and for the real reason behind his brother’s death. And now it seems he may finally be close to finding what he has been looking for. When Maura’s fingerprints turn up in the rental car of a suspected murderer, Nap embarks on a quest for answers that lead only to more questions…. about his high school love and the childhood friends he thought he knew. An abandoned military base near where he grew up comes into the picture as well. Nap learns Leo and Diana’s death is far more sinister than he ever could have imagined.
Book Club members enjoyed the book and Nap’s quest to solve the fifteen year old mystery. They all expressed their desire to read more novels by Harlan Coben (he has written 31). In 2018 the author signed a deal with Netflix for several of his books to be made into series or films. Stop by the Library to check out this book or another selection by Coben. It will be a read you will enjoy.
