The 2024 Summer Reading Program, Intro to the Classics, began with the, “Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” by Mark Twain.

Miss Brenda pranked the children into believing pulling weeds is great fun. Afterwards, the children listened to the whitewashing scene from the book. When asked if they would ever fall for such a prank, of course they all responded, “No!” When the earlier prank was revealed the kids felt sheepish. We all had a good chuckle over it.
